Long Road Traveled

Diron C. Clements was born and raised in Danville, Virginia. After graduating high school in 2000, he earned an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Danville Community College. Diron continued to pursue his education by enrolling at Averett University. There, he completed one year in the Equestrian Studies program, then changed his major to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree concentrating in Political Science.

Following his undergraduate experience, Diron went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Averett University in 2009. By profession, Diron is a realtor servicing Danville, Chatham, Pittsylvania County and the surrounding Virginia areas. He is proudly employed by Wilkins & Co. Realtors, The Region’s #1 Real Estate Firm.

Aside from real estate, Diron has owned and operated DC Clements Quarter Horses LLC since 2001. Although his equine background, dating back to age 6, is based around hunter and western pleasure horses, his passion is barrel racing. Diron has won many titles and competitions competing in futurity, derby, and open events on the local, state, national and international levels.

He has sold many horses all over the United States and Canada. Diron has been fortunate to ride and win on many horses but notably: Little Dawn Go Lucky, Sail On Eight (Bunny, A Spanish Legacy, KC Smokin Joe, Mr Express Special, Justice Rolls, Wings On Wind, Hard Times Panama, Miss Panama Perks, Angel Racin Free, and Sis Ta Fame. His most memorable win was in 1997 winning the NBHA Youth 1-D North Carolina State Championship aboard Jack Stanley’s Little Dawn Go Lucky. Aside from winning, Diron feels that his greatest life accomplishment is being a father to his twin boys, Riley and Cole Clements.
